Working with a life coach blew my mind and completely changed every aspect of my life for the better. I can't help but wonder how different my life would be had I learned mindset and emotional tools as a child. I would have learned to process my emotions instead of eating them and becoming an overweight depressed teenager. I wouldn't have wasted so much energy chasing the job title, pay check, body image, relationship or anything else outside of myself as a measure of my value. I wouldn't have created my life based on my parent’s adopted beliefs or what society said I should do like becoming an accountant so that I would have a "secure" job. And I hope that I would have come to this place in my life where I love and accept myself, flaws and all, and know that I can create anything for my life with the power of my mind a whole lot sooner. It's with this awareness that I see my five year old son and other young children already forming core beliefs about themselves, other people and the world based on every experience they have, positive and negative. What a tremendous opportunity to support and empower them through this. Can you imagine the extraordinary lives our children would have if they didn't inherit all the limiting beliefs that we did? That is why I recently became certified to coach kids and am offering a coaching program designed for parents to learn and grow alongside their kids. Because let's face it, we have our own work to do as parents so that we can tune into our children and what they need separate from our own pain and conditioning.
My approach is grounded in mindfulness and cognitive science and helps kids transform how they think about themselves and gain emotional resilience so they can:
Overcome fear, self-doubt, failure and disappointments;
Navigate change;
Feel grounded confidence and self-esteem;
Stay true to themselves instead of giving into peer pressure; and
And feel empowered to go after anything they want in life.
My mission is to teach women and children to know that they are good enough and worthy of love - No. Matter. What. If you or someone you know is struggling or can benefit from working with a coach like me, click here to learn more: www.monicabhardwaj.com/kidscoaching
